Sachs Internal gear and Brake

I found a rear wheel with a 7 speed freewheel and an internal gearing and internal brake on the other side. Does anyone have any info or sites that i might find more info on this, it would be a great addition to my recumbent project, no more worrying about the front derailler problems. Would this be of any worth.
