SRAM 10 spd. cassette - need shim?
I bought a SRAM 10 spd. cassette that I will be using on a Shimano 8/9/10 speed compatible hub. My question is whether or not the SRAM cassette requires the 1mm shim the same way that the 10 spd. Shimano cassettes do?

I don't know, but if you have one of each, you could always measure them and compare.
You could also just install the SRAM cassette and see if there's excess play, if there is, install the spacer.

Since a SRAM 10-speed cassette is compatible with a 10-speed Shimano shifter, then the 1mm spacer would be needed.
