Terminology question..face? chase?

I'm thinking of ordering a frame to buildup myself and the manufacturer suggests that one should "face the BB and headtube if needed" and "chase the BB" Face? chase?

In this instance Facing refers a milling process where by each ends (faces) of the tube in question (bottom bracket tube) are squared up to an exact 90 degrees to the tube and parallel to each other.
Chasing refers to using a tool called a tap to clear any debris from the threaded portion of the bottom bracket.

Facing is the refinishing of a surface to make/ensure it's level or even or within proper size tolerances, chasing (or chasing the threads) is when the threads are re-clarified using due to paint overspray on the threads, or a misthreading.

My understanding is that facing is machining (by hand usually) the
ends of the BB housing and top/bottom of the head tube where the
BB retention nuts and headset bearing cups fit to that the fit is
close to exact with no high points or irregularities to the surface.
Properly faced the surfaces are flat and parallel and at right angles to
the long axis of the cylinder.
Chasing is running a tap through the threads after facing so that the
threads are clean.
