Installing Ritchey Pro compact cranks

I am installing some new Ritchey Pro Compact Cranks on my bike and was wondering how do you know when they are all the way on. Im using a 1/2 inch drive and am wondering is it possible to get them too far up the bottome bracket spindle or will they basically bottom out when they are all the way on. I just dont want to mess them up by forcing them too far on the spindle if that is a concern.

is it octalink? The crank will bottom out and you can't turn the crank bolt in any more
