i am looking at disk break systems and wondering how thay work, not like "you pull the lever wich pushes oil wich bla bla ext ext..." i need to know how i cold change mii full suspention mountan bike wich has the breaks that squez the rim under the ruber tubing (i know it is obvis i am new to this bike stuff, but i am a good rider, and want to have a nice looking and handeling bike. i have a 26" Pacific Reflx, and want to know how to get disk breaks 4 it and whut i need and were to get them......... plz Help. You have to have a stable mount on your front fork and rear triangle for a disc brake calipers. I doubt your Pacific has that. It isn't going to work.

well if i have to wich i do have to b caws i know whut you r talking about and i dident think about that i will buy an new fork and a new tryangle thingamagigy(i know whut it is but i dont knwo the name) id like to know were i cam purchas thes things.

I think I understand what you are asking.. basicaly what you would need to do to support disks is a new frame and fork, you can't just replace the rear triangle.

Dude, you're killing me with your spelling and grammar. How old are you? Please tell me English is your Second language.

What I "think" you're asking is replacing the fork and the rear triangle portion of you Pacific Mountain bike? If this is the case, you CAN replace the fork, and you can purchase an adapter for the rear. However, buy the time you buy these two items, the disc brakes (calipers, levers and rotors) not to mention new wheels because you need disc-ready hubs, you will find it much more economical to purchase a new bike with disc brakes already!

Ya I heard from a local bike shop that I should just buy a new bike but this is very disappointing I just bought my bike a very short wile ago not even 2 weeks ago and the bike shop owner told me that I should expect to pay 650 for what I want (full suspension mountain bike with disk brakes) It is going to take a few weeks to get the money.

A floating torque arm to allow you to put a disk caliper on a non disk rear will set you back more than a$100. The other costs add up quick.
