manitou sx adjustment
Can someone tell me how to adjust Manitou SX front shocks? I just got the bike (used) and the front tire is bottoming out on the bottom of the fork tube under minor bumpity bumps and ditches.
I see a bottom and top rubber coated knob on each side of the shock. What to do next? thanks! |
turn them clockwise. you have to turn them both the same amount
|
cool.. i did that..and have both knobs maxed out clockwise.. and it still seems like i might be able to bottom them out although i wont know until i hit the ditch again

If you've maxed out on the adjustment, it sounds like you need to change out to a heavier spring.

Chase down a manual for your year & model (should be able to find on Answer's site or else on Google). The manual will tell you the part # and the spring is super easy to swap out thru the top of one of the legs.

cool.. much appreciated!

another thing....those knobs may be broken...
ive seen couple spring forks where the knobs just dont do anything and your stuck with one spring setting if you can tell a diff when you turn the knob i guess its not the case |
