24" x 2.5" Hookworms vs. Front Brakes

I have a Nexus 4-speed coaster hub on the bike that provides enough stopping power. But I'd like to be able to use front brakes as well so I can slow down for convenience.

I have the bolt-through on the fork, is it possible to wrap a brake around that tire?

I am no expert in the forum but my take is IF they can make a brake for a mountain bike wheel then you should have no problem with your tire.......................peace

No caliper brake is going to go around that tire, and any which did would so flexy as to be useless.
V-brakes don't usually clear 2.5 tires, but might for the hookworms without the knobs- try holding the brake arm along the fork to see if they have clearance. If so, then you can buy a v-brake plate which bolts on and allows you to run v-branes at places like danscomp.com.
