amateur - just a quick question
hi - sorry to ask a stupid question, but i bought a tube from the bike store to replace my busted one, and as i was going to put it on, i noticed that the tube is actually larger than the tyre... that can't be right, right...

There is some latitude in tube sizes but it would be wise to match the size info written on the side of the tire to that on the box when you purchase the tube. Also helps to know if your rim is drilled for presta or schrader. If the tube is too big, there is a high probability of pinching it when trying to get it all inside the tire.

There should be a size on the tube box and a size on the tire. Do they match? Are they close? Post these numbers for a good answer.
