Ultegra brifter assembly

My son had a problem w/ his right Ultegra 9-speed brifter, and took it apart (needed to--wasn't a basic fix). He was able to get it 95% of the way back together but has 2-3 washer-like things that he doesn't know the stack order for--does anyone know where to find a diagram, like an exploded view of all the separate parts? one that actually shows the inner workings?

OOPS
might try Shimano's web site, they have a lot of technical info, but they don't recommend that anyone take their brifters apart.

I have never known anyone to rebuild one. They are disposable units by design.

New brifter time. I'm pretty mechanically minded, but still gave up after about two hours.

yeah that diagram doesn't have the little bits inside the control lever for the shifting, just the braking part of it, but thx,

and for those of you who say "omg you're crazy you can't fix that" i forgot to mention this is now my beater bike (no its not full ultegra just the single shifter lol) also i'm down to just 2 little washer like pieces the rest is together, they are flat pieces that don't have to do with the main mechanism, and i fixed the problem that caused it not to shift (so there *sticks tongue out*)

Congratulations. Have you consider going into watch making? I believe the needed skills are similar.

Take it apart again. Take pictures of re-assembly. Post for the world.

Such secrets should not remain hidden.
