Its a later model with a Vitus frame. I'm looking for an inexpensive but a good performer. In other words the "best buy for the buck".
Also, I want to move the shifters on the stem (its on the DT right now). Please suggest where to buy these stuffs?
Thanks in advance!

Try a cheap Shimano derailleur with a claw hanger. My shop sells Tourney RDs for $9 or so.

You can also buy a derailluer hanger by itself (made by sunrace) if you have an old derailleur hanging around to use. I put an Alivio derailluer on my wife's 70's nishiki and it's great. You could also consider Sunrace derailleurs if you wanted. They carry them here: https://www.biketoolsetc.com/index.cg...lleurs&tc=Rear
As for the stem mounted shifters, Sunrace still makes some but I believe they're index only. You could probably get some old ones for next to free either from ebay or a forum member. Hardly anyone likes them anymore, but they came on a lot of bikes in the 70s.
