campy bar-end & front derailleur

ok so apparently the new campy front derailleurs have this little blurb attached to them: "Compatible with QS™ Ergo levers only"

any reason why this would not work with the current record bar end shifters?

They will work with anybodies barends. All barend shifters are friction shifters for the front derailleur so they are completely non-brand specific.
