bent aluminum handlebar

Had an accident where the right bar end of my straight mountain handlebars was caught and kinda crimped the area on the handlebars where it was attached. There was no way to straighten the bar end to match the other side, so I removed them both and will ride without them while I still use the handlebars. The damaged aluminum on the right end of the handlebars is crimped and deformed. Is there any way to bend it back in shape without extreme effort, or should I leave it as is until I buy new handlebars? The bike handles fine otherwise.

Aluminum doesn't like being bent back and forth. Buy new bars

I'd replace the whole handlebar as quickly as I could.

It's kind of disturbing, if you're riding a rocky descent, to suddenly realize that your handlebar grip is no longer attached to the rest of the bike.
