Linear pull brakes with matching levers - and an inline brakes?
So, I installed the Nashbar trekking bar (thanks to all who replied to my previous post about it) and after few rides, I clearly need another set of brake levers - on the fronts of the bar.
I know that this is not the "standard" way to have them set up. But I really like hand position on the fronts, but I miss having ability to brake from there. I was not able to find any inline brake levers which would work with v-brakes though. I know there is travel agent available, but my main levers will be pulling more cable than inlines. Is there a way to use travel agent in this situation, or is the only option for me to change brakes, or main levers and add travel agents? Thanks, Movses |
Standard in-lines do pull quite a bit. I've never used them on V-brakes but I do use them as primary levers with standard road calipers and they actually pull too much.

In-line levers will work just fine with V-brakes. My Triplecross runs both.
