LBS couldn't fix it !!!
I have recently put a new drive train on my road bike. The old drive train worked fine, it was a 105 3 chainring, 10 speed - just worn out after several winters..
I have a compact double crankset on now with a new Rear mech and I am having trouble getting the chain to shift properly, the problem is going into the larger cogs, worst in the middle cogs - the mech moves over, but the chain rubs the next cog without jumping up onto it.
Problem is worse in the larger chainring than the smaller -
it is definitely not a cable tension problem.
The only thing I can think of is the chain is not thick enough, it is 10 speed Connex chain - the extra thin one for Shimano systems, the chain is about 2-3mm thinner than the spaces between the cogs - could this stop the chain catching the next cog properly and jumping up to next cog ????
Any idea's becasue I am at a loss and not sure what to do with it..

For what it is worth, I use the thicker Connex on my Shimano chains and never had any issues. It is meant for Campy chains, but my mechanic has found that the thicker Connex link works best on the Shimano chains.

^agreed. Have the shop use the alignment tool on it. Honestly, if the shop hasn't done this yet...get a new shop.
