Looking for Pedals

I have one bike with Shimano R540 SPD-SL pedals --- several years old. The one thing I like about them (that seems to rather uncommon) is that they release to the inside. For better or worse, I have been releasing o the inside for years and am comfortable with it. I have tried pedals that release to the outside (speed play, and other Shimano pedals) and do net feel comfortable with them: The outside release does bother my 60 year old knees a bit. Teaching an old dog new tricks is not always a painless process. I read the literature on the new R540s and it says they too now release only to the outside. While I am sure I can adapt, but what gives?

I have not been able to find any good road cleats that release to the inside. Can anyone make such a thing?

I thought they all release to either side? and with spd all direction cleats- they also release up also or at an angle

the all direction cleats are the same price as the others- about 15 bucks a pair- just ask your lbs to get some shimano- you can also go on their website

My 64 year old knees like Speedplay X-series, and contrary to their instructions, they will release from any angle.
