Chain Games 5a: UG vs. HG

Any problem using a UG chain with an HG freewheel? That's the way the bike was set up and I replaced the chain with a UG before realizing I have an HG freewheel. (The freewheel has been ruined by the chain, but that may just have been excessive wear).

What's the proper chain to use with an HG freewheel, 6 or 7 speed?

I've used any chain labeled for 7/8 speed. If anything the UG cogs were a little thicker, but the cog spacing was the same as HG, so I'm not sure the UG chain would hurt anything. Maybe won't shift quite as well, but that's just a guess.

I put a PC-48 on it. Close enough, I presume. ;)
