How to Tighten Eggbeater Candy C Pedals??

I have some eggbeater candy c pedals by crank brothers. I don't know how to securely fasten them though because there is no place for a pedal wrench to hook on. It's simply round all the way around, without the grooves for a tool to fit in. Anyone have experience with these and know how to tighten them down?

look at the end of the pedal spindle that threads through the crank.

You will see a nice octagonal hole designed to receive the business end of an allen wrench.

tighten away to your heart's content.

The egg beaters originally had the fairly standard 15mm sized flat spots on the axles. But I just bought another set a month ago and they only have a allen wrench spot in the end of the threaded area of the axle. Prhaps this prevents overtightening? Or perhaps it's just so people don't have to buy a pedal wrench to install their pedals; however they'll probably need one to remove the old pedals, so what's the diff?

I've had no problem breaking loose a stubborn pedal with just the allen wrench. The Crank pedal is sized for a 6mm wrench, pretty beefy. USe a good wrench, one that is rounded off and a cheater, you'll have no problems.

And a properly installed pedal shouldn't need much muscle to get it off.
