B-Screw Problem on Rear Derailleur...
Hey guys. I just, for the most part rebuilt my bike, keeping a few components like my rear deraileur. Everything seems fine except for the fact that there is no chain gap between the cassette and the jockey wheel, so it is rubbing making a clickity clack noise when I pedal. No problem right? Just adjust the B-screw (the one that makes contact with the derailleur hanger). Well, the b screw for some reason is 180 degrees turned around on the rear deraileur and it seems like it is impossible to get the screw to rest on the little platform on the hanger...
any advice for me?/?
thanks.

You got me confused, sounds like your chain is too long, but how the limit screw get turned around 180?
Did you change cassete and or the chainring size? I assume you are using the same hanger or did you put on a different one?

How big is your cassette and what rear derailleur are you running?
It sounds to me like, at some point, somebody has installed a mountain bike cassette on your bike and has tried to make it work by reversing the B screw in order to give it more extension. That's the kind of thing that you run into when you try to force fit non-matching components. If that's the case, the ultimate solution to your problem is either a road bike cassette or a mountain bike rear derailleur.
