I want my old bike back!

I have sitting in my garage an absolutely gorgeous 1990 Raleigh SuperCourse with the Technium frame. Unfortunately, it was hit while parked at the rack at work and the frame has been cracked. I know I can't fix the frame, certainly not in a cost effective manner. So I want to put all the components on a new frame. Since I haven't been able to locate a Raleigh Technium frame anywhere, what can I get that all the parts will transfer too? It has all Shimano 600, and is truely the sexiest bike ever. I paid $150 for it but only got to ride it for 3 months before it cracked, the guy I bought it from never rode it, so everything is like new. I just want it to live on, since while I like my '05 Grand Sport, I don't love my '05 Grand Sport. Please help.

Ebay always has at least half a dozen Techniums for sale. They aren't new but they're priced less than comparable bikes of that era. Good luck

Inspect any Technium frame for joint failure. Apparently the early ones had problems.

So after looking around for another Technium frame, unsuccessfully, I need to know what I should be looking for in a new frame, either used, or new. Does anyone make a new frame in a 62cm with downtube shifter bosses that isn't going to break the bank? That would be ideal. This is going to be my first build so any advice would be awesome. Thanks

Big Daddy, decent quality aluminum framesets are so cheap it's ridiculous. They are all over ebay for $100-150 each. Try Leader frames out. Roadbikereview gives them a thumbs up. Good luck

I have an old Raleigh Triumph (serial begins with 7B94G followed by 4 numerals) that I will sell at some point. The frame is in really good shape but big (~25"). If you're interested I can take some pics and send them to you.

Nashbar's touring frame/fork is currently on sale for $200 and would certainly be servicable. It has downtube shifter bosses but requires cantlever or V-brakes and the largest size shown is 60 cm. Here is the URL:

I've looked at these, but I really need a 62cm. Ideally, I want to find a frame that all the components would fit on.
