square tapered cotterles crank size??

hi everyone, i got an old road bike (venture lemans for the 70s) converted to fixed gear.


i would like to put on another crankset online. and i would like to know if there's any size for the square tappered crank?

There are two sizes of taper for cranks, ISO and JIS, with the JIS being slightly larger. You can usually get away with putting ISO cranks on a JIS spindle, but if you go the other way it may not tighten.

Look at Sheldon Brown's website for a very good explanation of the difference betweeen ISO and JIS and for identification of different cranks.
