I was looking at that bike on a website, and even though it is a bit heavy, that is a very good and durable frame, made out of the excellent reynold chromoly. If you are not obsessed about the weight, I just think you might be building your bike for a long time.

Well, did the upgrade to the following:
Truvativ Elita Triple crankset
FSA Platinum bottom bracket
SRAM R8 Cassette
Sachs PC-80R chain
Ultegra front and rear derailleurs
26.8x225 Syncros Road seatpost
Well, to those who doubted, there is no comparison between the crap I had on my bike before and how beautifully it operates now, even with the Sora shifters.
Next upgrade: Koobi AU Enduro or other Koobi saddle/Mavic Cosmos wheelset

There really is a lot that can go into a decission like this. In my case, I have a Fuji Finest AL with Sora. And, I do plan on upgrading over time. However, my reasons are I keep bikes so ending up wth spare used parts isn't a problem. Properly set up, there is no problem with Sora it works as intended. I'll add a carbon fork and look for sales or auction bargains for other things.
I do agree it would not make sense to put a full Campy Record on this bike. However, I can't see a problem with upgrading as time and spare change offer. The best stuff will be on my LandShark, the Fuji will be an everyday or training ride. Perfect for what I need it fore.
