What size bike would this be?
Im looking at a Trek 1200 for my wife. The guy said he wasnt sure the actual size but the tape measure reads 20 inches from center of crank to top of the seat tube. She is 5' 7, will this be big enough?. Thanks in advance.

Bike frames are usually measured from the center of the crank to the top of the top tube, not the top of the seat tube. 20" is 50.8cm so I expect the frame is either a 50 or 49 cm depending on how far the seat tube sticks up over the top tube.
At 5'6" it may be a little small for her.

Well maybe I didnt type that right. Its 20 inches to the top of the frame where the seat tube goes into it. Sorry. Newbie if you couldnt tell.

Same thing. The "seat tube" is the tube that the "seat post" slides into. Your 20" measurement to the top of the seat tube would be greater than if you measured to the top of the "top tube", which is the tube that goes from the front of the bike back to the seat tube.

Some companies measure their frames like you did (as I found out with my Bianchi that turned out to be 2cm too small). It's hard to tell if it will fit her or not since it depends on a lot more than standover height, but a 20" would most likely be too small.
