Giant FCR1 any technical diffs between men's and women's?
Anybody out there know if Giant scrimps on any details between the FCR1 and the FCR1W?

I think it's the same bike with slightly different geometry, like narrower bars. But since I'm not a Giant engineer (I mean, an engineer for Giant) take my opinion for what it's worth.

Thanks, DMF. I've fallen in love with this FCR1w. She's a thing of beauty. GLides like ice. Quiet as the moon. Silver like sun on water. An incredible machine (from my newbie perspective) for someone who has been riding and loving my Raleigh MTB but now biking much more and want to bike much more so I have reached the mtb limitations.
Just wanted to make sure they didn't use lower end components (fearing sexism?). I'm going to go pick it up shortly! My greatest indulgence in my life, I think!

No difference at all in geometry, just the available sizes. The only difference other than that is the color choices and the women's specific saddle.

Hey Bill... paranoid. I was. Out with all that. I compared the specs and they are the same except for dimensions.

For the 2008 model year Giant has changed the geometry on women's bikes, most of them at least, to be women's specific geometry. Shorter toptubes, longer headtubes in general.
