steer tube length

if the steer tube is cut to 265mm long, will it work on a headtube that 125mm long

yes but you will need a LOT of spacers.

so can i choose weather the spacers go on top or on bottom?

i don't think it is going to work, the fork has a bit too much travel for my bike, it would work but i don't want to brake it.
