Actually, there was no need for acetone, hairdryer was all I needed to remove the factory decals.

I know this is an OLD thread, but I just removed all the decals from my Ti Motobecane using a Scotch pad (the kind with a sponge on the back) and Carb Cleaner. The whole bike took me 20 min. and there's no ghosting effect.
