BMX vs. Mountain Linear Pull Brakes

Any functional difference between the two? Any reason I couldn't run BMX Vs on a Cyclocross type frame?

No difference if you're just talking about the calipers. You might have trouble finding a left side handlebar lever to match the right.

FWIW, I've been using Shimano DX (BMX) brakes on my beater bike for almost a decade.
