Some compatiblity questions.

With some money left over, I am going to buy a new crankset, but there are many versions of the same product. I decided on the 172.5mm arm length, but I am unsure how to match the bottom bracket information (english version or length) or whether the ultegra front derailleur will be compatible with the change from 50 to 53 teeth (website does not list which version of the fd is used)

I am looking at this product
If anyone has links to a good article on choosing a proper crankset/ bottom bracket, I would appreciate it
thanks

This is a Dura Ace 10-speed Hollowtech II crank and the spindle is part of the crank arms so there are no length issues. The "bottom bracket" is just a pair of threaded cups with the bearing built in so you need to get the correct threading.

AFAIK, there is only one model Ultegra double front derailleur and it is normally rated to handle 53-39 chainrings but Shimano also claims it will work properly with "compact" gearing (50-34) so it's a one-size-fits-all.
