Name that noise...
Sounds like a bird chirping, very high pitched but not really loud. In fact, for a while I thiught it WAS a bird chirping until I realised I was still hearing it 5 miles later. It only makes the noise when pedaling, not coasting. No brake rubs, shoe or pedal problems. Ideas?

Bottom bracket cups if it happens more when your really cranking... grease your saddle rails too.

hub seal
when I first got my bike, my hub seal squeaked, I am guessing that it is.
