Rear shock adjustment
After my ride two nights ago, I noticed the o-ring of my Fox Float L shock had rolled off the shock body and was dangling underneath. I assume this was caused by the rear shock bottoming out, but I am not 100% sure since I didn't *see* it happen.
If the rear shock *did* bottom out, does this mean the preload needs to be adjusted? I am a heavy rider (215) so it's completely possible I bottomed it out jumping off a curb or over one of those large branches on my ride. If so, no big deal since I just bought the bike and the shop offered to fine tune it for free after a few rides. I also work there. Eventually I'll own a shock pump and learn to do this sort of stuff myself. |
pudge, dont take this the wrong way, but dont you think you should read the manual that came with your new bike? I'll bet if you do you'll find pre-load instructions and recommended pressures for your body weight.
