Suntour VX/Cyclone Compatible?
I have a late 1970s Azuki Imperial. Needs new rear derailleur. Can I use a Cyclone in place of the VX? I know little of bikes...hope to learn a LOT more. Thanks. (Having trouble finding a VX but have seen several Cyclones on ebay.)

VX vs Cyclone
Yellow Jersey has a link that details a ton of the suntour derailleurs from the late 70s-mid 80s.
The spec sheet shows the size cogs each derailleur could accept.
You can run this question past the guys over at bicycle_restoration at Yahoo groups.com as well.
Hope this helps.
fwiw,I just installed a VXs on a restored schwinn leTour Tourist.
Got the VXs for $20 on eBay (but that was before this insane bidding war on vintage stuff began)
