Changing Front Forks
 
Hi all i have a Carrera Kraken Se bike i thinking of changing the forks what i want to know is how to change them and how do you tell if they are ahead or threaded stemed the forks on the bike are Top Gun. Are suntour XCM any good many thanks in advance.

I guess it would depend on what type of riding you do, but my opinion of very inexpensive suspension forks like the Suntour forks I've seen is that they're more trouble than they're worth. You'd probably be better off with a suspension corrected rigid fork if a better suspension fork is not in your budget-

Hi there thanks for the link i have indeed got a ahead stem so what forks would you recommend then that are good quality bearing in mind i dont want to spend too much cheers.

Unfortunately for suspension forks, "good" and "cheap" are mutually exclusive. Good suspension forks are expensive and cheap ones aren't worth anything.
