Old school Raleigh Conversion
I picked up an old Raleigh Grand prix('70-'75) and i really want to convert it to fixed gear, however i don't know any of the specifications for the frame. Does anyone have any idea about these sizes.
1.headset (i know its threaded but no idea what size)
2.bottom bracket
3.rear wheel spacing

Bikes: Iron Monkey: a junkyard steel 26" slick-tired city bike. Grey Fox: A Trek 7x00 frame, painted, with everything built, from spokes up. Jet Jaguar: A 92 Cannondale R900 frame, powder coated matte black with red and aluminum highlights.

It'll be English. Not only is it an English bike (you might say the *archetypal* English bike) but almost all bikes are English threaded.

You might want to read this page from Sheldon's Retro Raleighs site. https://sheldonbrown.com/raleigh26.html
I've got a couple of '70's Raleighs ('72 International, '76 Competition), both use English thread bb's and headsets. But the headset on the Competition is odd in that it has an extremely low stack height, so much so that almost nothing is compatible, and the bike also has a French derailleur (Huret Jubilee), so it has a French threaded derailleur hanger. The International came equipped with Campagnolo Nuovo Record, with an English threaded bottom bracket, headset, and derailleur hanger, but it does have some oddities: 66.5mm bb shell and 124mm rear dropout spacing (120 would be expected since the bike has never had anything on it but 5 speed freewheels). These oddities are just manufacturing "anomilies" in the case of my International. I bring all of this up to point out that the correct answer to your questions may be "who knows, you'll just have to check and see."
I'm no Raleigh expert, but I've read some of the stuff about old Raleighs on the internet, and I don't know what you can expect on your Grand Prix. It's apparently a Carlton-built bike like the higher end Raleighs of the time, which according to some stuff I've read would mean it's supposed to be English threaded. But then again, your Grand Prix probably has cottered cranks, so it's probably Raleigh threaded instead of English for both the bb and headset (26tpi instead of the English 24tpi). Maybe.
There are definitely guys on the C and V forum who know a lot about old Raleighs.
