Real sneaky Craigslist add.
I saw this listing in the Cleveland Craigslist. https://cleveland.craigslist.org/bik/470528826.html It was for bike parts, so of course I checked it out. If you follow the links the guy is in Los Angeles. It seems kind of sneaky to draw you to an ebay listing.

we get the same ad in Boise. Flagging is in the upper right corner of craigslist's page. If enough people flag (mark as innapropriate,) the ad will be removed. Innapropriate is based on Craigslist TOS.

OTOH I had an ad in the local Craig's list and started getting queries as
to whether I would ship to locales up to 1000mi away.

Here in Western MA, too.
It's only marginally jerky. Our Craigslist sucks. Everyone wants $500 for their 1997 Rock Hopper.

Flagging simply alerts the Craigslist moderators that a posting is possibly not appropriate. In the upper right corner of a post there's a spot to select "please flag with care". Once you click on the flag you can explain why you are flagging:wrong location, links to other sales sites, profanity (and it's not in the casual encounters area) etc.
If the moderators look at it, they have the option to remove it or ban the poster from the site.
I believe that Bike Forums has the same thing.
