Modern Campag brakes on an old frame
Hi,
I'm just about through refurbing and single speeding an old frame (80's Peugeot I think) and I put on a set of Campy mirage brakes I had lying around in the garage. Unfortunately I've found that the fixing points on the frame are such that, even with the pads at the lowest point on the calipers, they aren't far enough down to actually hit the braking surface of the new wheels I've put on it (front and rear). The gap is about 5 to 10mm I guess. I really don't want to have to put the old brakes back on it (they are in a poor state, lots of pitting etc.). Anyone got any ideas? Is there some sort of modification (or after market part) that will allow me to use these brakes on this old frame?
Thanks in advance.

You can either buy the sheldon drop bolts $80. Or you can spend the $45 and get a set of Tektro long reach brakes that will fit perfectly. Or you can machine your own drop bolt

For the Short reach brakes the drop bolt will work fine.
