disc squeal

My front disc brake squeals like a motherf***er. (shimano XT) Is there any way I can speed the break-in process along so this will stop? Any anti-squeal advice?

It is incredibly annoying. Seriously, it can be heard for miles around.

Thanks.

Try abrading the pads face down on a flat surface on a sheet of 220 grit sandpaper.
