Old school Speedplay Frogs different than new?

I know the old Frog cleats are different than the new.

How about the pedals? I got a set on Ebay that don't have screws for the grease ports and may never have had the ramps that prevent the foot from turning inward.

Have there ever been Frogs without screws for the grease ports?
I may call Speedplay on Monday to see.

I still have the original Speedplay Magnum pedals (from 1992) which look almost identical to the current Frogs. The Magnum cleats are no longer made.

+1. Magnums were the predecessors to Frogs and, among the differences they didn't have the inner rotation stops and were relubed by disassembling the shell. They also took a different cleat.

I bought my Magnums in 1993. When the Frogs were introduced about 1995, Speedplay sold (and I bought) "Morph Kits" that converted Magnums to Frogs by changing the shell and cleat retainer to the Frog design but retained the Magnum's spindle and bearings.

Frogs are the same design as they've been since they replaced the Magnums but there have been three generations of cleats for them.
