What is the difference

Between the Shimano 105/ 5510 9 speed shifters and the Ultegra 6510 9 speed shifters? I am in the process of upgrading my road bike and I am shopping for the shifters. All of my components are Ultegra 6500. There is quite a difference in the price of new 5510's vs new 6510's. Aside from having a matched build set what will I gain from going with the 6510 shifters? **** Thanks in advance. Lp

No functional difference. Slightly different look. 105s are great shifters.

I've got bikes throughout the entire 9 speed line; tiagra, 105, ultegra and dura ace. Functionaly the same, couple of grames lighter as you move up the line. 105 is an awesome shifter, I have it on my primary race bike. Plus, the 105 9 speed was offered in black and that just looks so freakin' cool.
