Park Tool Stand PCS-9 - Issues assembling

Need some help to know if I'm doing something wrong or if the Park Tool stand I got has a part with the wrong size. This is brand new out of the box.

Model PCS-9. Here are the specs/ assembly instructions on putting it together.

At Step 2, it shows to slide the Yoke Weldment (part 12) over the Upright (part 9). However, the Yoke Sleeve (part 11), which is inside the Yoke Weldment, is too small in diameter to slide over the Upright post.

The Yoke Sleeve does not look like it should be removed from the Yoke Weldment.

Any ideas? Am I missing something? Do I perhaps have parts that are the wrong size? And has anyone dealt directly with Park Tool on issues like this?

My PCS-9 has the yoke sleeve in place. I don't remember if it was a PITA to put that part on or not.

Give it some elbow grease, you won't mess anything up by forcing it a bit.

I got it. Walking away from the frustration and returning later on does wonders sometimes.

The yoke sleeve wasn't completely flush on the end I needed to fit it, so it was causing the diameter to seem to small. I popped the sleeve into place and then gave it the elbow grease you advised.

Bingo.

I now have a real repair stand. Now to commence with the tweaking and twonking of the bikes in the basement. I'm sure I'll be back here for more help.

Thanks!
