Expander/Compressor plug for Chris King stem cap
I am replacing the fork on my bike with one with a CF steerer. I'd like to use my existing Chris King headset so I need a compressor plug to replace the star nut. Does anyone where I can buy/get a plug that I can use with my CK cap ? The ones I have seen (e.g. FSA, Reynolds) seems to require the use of their own stem caps (let me know if i am mistake). Thanks in advance.

You are mistaken.
Almost all plugs and caps are connected by an allen bolt and you can combine them as you wish.

There are other compressor plugs that do use a top cap and bolt like the starnut system and you could use your CK cap. Profile Designs makes one that should work.

He is not mistaken based on what he has seen, Reynolds and FSA have proprietary topcaps!
get an expander.

That would explain how Santana put a Chris King cap on my 1 1/4" Reynolds Tandem Fork when I bought the bike last year. Haven't dissected it yet but I figured it had to be different from the 1" Ouzo Pro on my single.
