I got into an accident a while ago and I need to replace the left crank arm on my Truvativ 5D crankset. Now I've looked and it seems the only crankarms available are square tapered. Like this:

What I have definitely does not seem to be square tapered at all. What do I do here? Am I just **** out of luck?

You should be able to find a replacement. I see single arms out there all the time. It will just be a lot of research to find one.

Am I missing something here? I mean I have the crank arm here on the bike in front of me and it definitely does not seem to have a square taper. Does Truvativ produce one off sort of cranks for certain bike manufacturers (my bike is a store bough 06 Specialized Rockhopper Comp)? Seems a bit silly.

Looks like you can get it in either square taper or isis, and Jenson just has square taper. If it comes down to it, seems like a whole new 5d crankset is not that expensive.

Go to the LBS and have them peruse the QBP parts catalogue. Should be in there.

Thanks for the help guys. Just one more thing. How do I get this crank arm off? Like what type of crank tool do I need? Again thanks for the help.

Truvativ also makes a PowerSpline bb. It's the diameter of a sq. tp., but splined. It's OEM and it sucks. Some of their lower end cranksets used this in some instances (Blaze, 5D, ISOflow)

Standard crank removal tool should work fine.

You can use a standard crank removal tool if it is a square tapper. Go to your local bike shop, we always have used and new replacement left crank arms. If it's the powerspline demand a new crank because they suck. I have never seen more problems with crank arms falling off when it comes to Truvativ.
