Phil Wood warrantees

Hey, I was wondering if any of you guys had any clue as to the extent of Phil Wood warrantees.

Believe it or not, I just stripped a phil track hub....yeah. I was removing a cog and the threads all came off with it. The hub was greased before putting the cog on and a lockring was properly installed. Would the hub be covered under the Phil Wood warrantee?

The only way you will know is if you contact them.

Brett from Phil Woods is an occasional visitor to the forum. Rather than whining and gnashing your teeth, you might want to just buck up and send them an email.

They might take pity on you, or blow you off but you won't know till you ask them. And I'm betting on the first.

I've already contacted them through the LBS I bought the hub from. Now I just have to bring it in and get some photos sent. I'm just hoping they'll cover it under terms of use.

Having said that, it's probably my fault the hub stripped. I can't think of anything I did wrong but I must have threaded the cog on crooked because I can't think of anything else that would have done this.
