Want Disc Brakes (help please)
[COLOR=RoyalBlue] I got a 2003Corratec Raptor and it has v brakes. I want to put disc brakes on it but is doen't have disc brakes hubs . How do i go about doing this do i have to change the hubs then install the brakes or do i have to buy a whole new wheelset and then put the brakes on. If i need a new wheelset what wheelset does anybody recommend

New wheelset and then new brakes. Does the frame have the mounts for disc brakes?

Shimano XT hubs are the standard for MTB hub quality. Cheap, and they work. Rims, go with Alex TD17's for a lightweight but strong trail rim. They weigh in around 500 grams.
I remember somewhere like Pricepoint or something sold this combo for pretty cheap...

XT is the standard for light weight FR use.
Thousands of Free-Riders can't be wrong.
If you want the uber hot stuff. Get Hadley or Chris King. Nothing better than those two.

I'm a pretty big boy and I like my XT hubs. However if they do crap out I'm getting a set of Chris Kings no doubt about it. On a side note however, I really don't like Alex rims so I'd steer you towards these I've had great luck with mine.

I rode an Alex TD-17 for 2 years. I trued it once. No flat spots, no cracks, no problems. I would recomend them to anyone.
I currently ride Rhynolite XL's. I have a nice flat spot on the rear now though. They will be replaced with either a set of Arrow FRX's or some Intense Mag-30's.
