i'll bet you all the money i have it's the little plastic cap that says "105" on it. both of mine did that, and both are now gone. they'll eventually just fall off. annoying and unsightly, but hasn't affected performance any.

On my Ultegra I had a similar problem. What I found was that the brake cable had "fouled" somehow. This was causing the cable to not fully retract. Changed it out and the rattle was gone.

Check with your LBS. I think there is a tech bullitain on this problem that can be fixed with a turn of a screw and some thread sealer.
