Shoe and Cleat Compatibility

Okay. I'm poor so I need some help. I've been looking on Nashbar and found these shoes, and cleats. I know the pedals and the cleats are compatible, but not sure about the cleats with the shoes. Here's a picture of them.

I know the bottom of the shoe where the cleat is put in is covered, but I'm curious.

You're fine. Any shoe that says they're SPD compatible, like these do in the nashbar catalogue, will work with that style cleat.

Awesome, thanks.

SPDs are a little easier to get, however, sometimes when you get road shoes, even if they are compatible with the cleat (Time, Look, SPD-R, SPD, etc) sometimes the sole is not compatible with the cleat. Carbon soled road shoes ($$$) are sometimes not compatible due to the curviture/layout, but for SPDs, it's more than likely not a problem.
