Rhyno lite thump
 

I purchased a wheelset with xt hubs laced to sun rhyno lite 36 hole rims for an old steelie mnt bike I converted to a touring bike. The problem is when I apply the brakes I feel a thump when the pad goes over the rim seam. Is it safe to sand this ridge smooth? any suggestions, Thanks.

You can sand it lightly. Or you can leave it. There may be other solutions; I've read a thread about it before.
