Flat Bar road bike

I'm thinking about putting a flat bar on my SS road bike. Will I have any trouble using mtn bike brake levers with road brakes. They are Shimano 105 brakes.

Not usually!
Only 2 of my "road" bikes have drop bars.
This is my steel Merlin and my '69 Clive Stuart.
Both have Campy calipers.

Ideally you should find some of the old style canti MTB levers so the cable pull and leverage is correct. It's simple enough to try some V brake levers though. If you need too much effort to provide the stopping force then go haunt the old parts boxes for some of the canti levers.

I'm doing the same thing and decided to go with inline brake levers... I think you can find tektro/nashbar, forte/performance, or cane creek ones.
