front brake mount
I'm putting a new dual pivot brake onto a new carbon fork, and I've never done this before. Should the brake bolt go all the way through the fork with the nut clamping down on the back of the fork? or, Should the nut clamp down on the inside of the front of the fork?

The trick is getting the right length nut. The last time that I bought a brake I think that it came with 3 or 4 different sizes of them. The bolt on the back of the brake caliper goes into the small hole in the front of the fork. It won't extend all of the way through. The recessed hex nut goes into the big hole in the back of the fork.
If you don't happen to have the right length nut, try your LBS. If I got 4 of them buying only 1 brake they probably have a drawer full of the things.

So the nut should be long enough to hold onto the back of the fork, not the inside of the front? In other words, the head of the nut should be on the outside back of the fork?
