Please...name this part. Help!

I am going to swap out handle bars on my Marin Argenta. It has a one piece quill. (I think that's what it's called. Looks like an 'L' and holds the bar) I am going to put on a Deda Aeroblue bar. So I need that one thing that comes out of the neck but isn't an L. It's just a stubby little piece that the Deda mounts on to.

Somebody has to know what this is called. Or possibly have one I swap/purchase? In any case thanks.

So, a road bike quill stem generally looks like a 7.

After that, I'm lost. Does the piece appear in this picture?

It kind of sounds like you currently have a stem for a threaded steerer...and are wanting to use a threadless stem... You'd need a new fork and a new headset if you're going to convert to threadless...
