Please gimme good news :)
I was trying to get my trainer to spin last night (it was left outside for a long time and I did not know, so it was locked up from rust, etc)
I locked my bike into it perhaps too hard to help spin it (along with WD40)... and next thing I know the wheel seems to move on the trainer without the trainer moving. Uh-oh...
So I look at the rim, it is perfect! But it is out of alignment with the center of the hub. Looking down at the hub, it is off center a bit. Is this normal, or am i imagining?

That's called wheel dish and it is entirely normal and needed. The spokes are flatter on the drive side, right? As long as your rim is centered between the seat stays then all is well.

time for a new trainer, even if it does free up, it'll be loud and rough to ride on.

Is being left out in the rain and/or snow all winter a "faulty unit"? I know Performance has a no-questions replacement policy but that seems to be stretching their good will a bit.

Thanks for the replies! And yes, the spokes are flatter on one side. I was worried because this seemed illogical when I have never heard of it before.
As for the trainer... I was using it out in my backyard one day, brought everything in... then got packed for my trip to Los Angeles.
I just forgot the trainer And it is ruined. No worries though. I need to be riding on the road anyway.
