deraileur recomendation
I'm building a frankensteined commuter right now and I need a front deraileur. The frame is a late 80's rockhopper, the crank is a sugino triple with a 53/44/30. 8 speed rear. I need a recomendation for a front deraileur that will work with that gear combo, needs to be bottom pull, clamp on style with a 1 1/4" tube. Not really looking for something super high dollar. Thanks-Brian

I forgot to mention that I'm using rivendell silver shifters (bar end, friction),and Shimano deore, long cage rear deraileur.

If it was my bike I think that I'd get a Shimano Tiagra triple front derailleur. The only possible problem that I can foresee is interference between the clamp and the water bottle mounting point.
Good luck.
Good luck.
